Here in Rurberg we offer several apartments in one house, designed to make our guests' holidays as pleasant and relaxing as possible.
A private sunbathing lawn (spring/summer) and outdoor sauna
(for a fee)
are available to our guests.
There are many sporting activities available.
Activities such as hiking, cycling, sailing, fishing, canoeing and swimming in the free natural outdoor pool with a large sunbathing area (approx. 10 min. walk).
Or simply relax on one of the balconies, loggias or large terraces of your booked apartment.
The Rursee lake and boat landing are only about a 10-minute walk away..
The apartments include a bicycle storage room (outdoorroom),
which is easily accessible from the forecourt. Ideal for starting and ending your activities (walking, cycling, hiking, etc.), and perfect for less than ideal weather. From here you can reach the apartments without getting wet.
Our private
We make our outdoor sauna available for shared use by our guests, so that even in bad weather you can enjoy some relaxation.
Shopping facilities can be found in the nearby town of Simmerath, about a 10-minute drive away.

„Rursee in Flammen“
The popular folk festival "Rursee in Flames" finally celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2022. Even after the last colorful blaze has died down, the festivities are far from over, as the vibrant activity along the lakeside streets guarantees great entertainment well into the night.
When Saint Nicholas comes across the lake
On the first three Advent weekends, more than 20 Christmas market stalls open their doors, offering all sorts of delicious and tempting treats and a festive atmosphere. On Saturdays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Sundays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, the Christmas market invites visitors to stroll, browse, buy, and enjoy. Younger visitors are certainly not forgotten: On all market days, at dusk, St. Nicholas makes a grand entrance by boat across the adjacent Eiserbachsee lake. This musical spectacle is sure to put everyone in a festive mood, not just the children. St. Nicholas brings a surprise for every child with his well-filled sack of gifts. The vendors offer a diverse and colorful selection: handcrafted items made of wood, fabric, and wool; beeswax products; jewelry; Christmas wreaths and arrangements; Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) items; and all kinds of other gifts, such as silk scarves, printed textiles, and more.
